Description
Collins 51RV-1 VOR/ILS Overhaul Manual Manual
part number: 523-0756524-30111B
The 51V-4B receives glideslope rf signals in the 329.15- to 335.0-MHz frequency range. The 51V-4B detects and compares the 90- and 150-Hz modulation signals and provides outputs for the glideslope deviation needle and flat alarm.
The 51X-4 receives VOR/LOC rf signals in the 108.00- to 117,95-MHz frequency range. The 51X-4 and provides dc outputs for the localizer deviation needle and flag alarm of the course indicator. In the VOR mode the reference 30-Hz signal is demodulated from the 9960-Hz subcarrier in the 344A-2 FM circuit. A phase detector detects the phase difference between reference and variable 30 Hz and provides dc outputs for the VOR deviation needle and flag alarm of the course indicator. Another phase detector provides a dc output for the to-from indicator. The 344A-2 also contains VOR self-test circuits that provide a check for the reference and variable 30-Hz channels in both the manual and automatic instrumentation unit.
The 344F-1 compares the phase difference between the variable 30 Hz and the demodulated reference 30 Hz (from the 344A-2) and provides a synchro output to drive a needle in the radio magnetic indicator (RMI).
Manual includes operation instructions, theory of operation, troubleshooting procedures, schematics and parts list.
